You know what I really want right now? A bowl of honey. Or frosting. I've got granulated sugar, but that's just not the same. Shoulda bought some at Safeway, although I wasn't craving it then, and spent more than I really should have anyway.

And regarding my last entry - I feel less guilty about going there because Alexander Pope did too, in part. I just didn't pick up on it when I was reading (we're doing The Rape of the Lock right now).

And so there's some content here, have some kid!Sparda-twins fluff. It's a bit pointless, but Mara said it felt like the begining of something more, so...will see, I guess.

"Hey, whatcha readin' there, smarty?" Vergil looked up from his book to see three boys from his class. Nobodies, trying to act tough - not worth his time. He went back to the book. "Think you're better than us, huh?" This taunt was punctuated with a kick to Vergil's leg, which succeded in getting his attention - he put his book down and glared at them. Before he could do anything a little more forceful, though, there was a shout from across the playground. "Hey! You guys leave him alone!" The would-be thugs suddenly looked a lot less certain about their plan. Dante was new, but he had already earned a reputation for getting in fights, and hitting back harder than he was hit. As he approached, they dispersed with an attempt at a 'we'll get you next time' glare.

Vergil rolled his eyes as his brother sat down on the grass beside him. "I don't need you to protect me, you know." Dante grinned and punched him lightly in the shoulder. "Yeah, but that's what brothers are for." Vergil shook his head in exasperation, but smiled as picked up his book again.
